Katy Krassner: What’s your favorite thing about being on the road?
John Taylor: Well, playing every night. I love it, it’s like, all the noise in my head stops for two hours. For the most part, I don’t have to think about, has Atlanta done her homework, or has my Dad gotten home yet? You know, all these things that you’re so aware of, just being a functioning member of society, you know, they kind of get put on hold. I’m very fortunate, for the most part, I can put all of that stuff on hold once we start playing. Our typical touring week, maybe you’re playing two times five… maybe ten hours you’re actually playing a week, and the rest of the time, you’re just killing time, in between those two-hour periods. You’re either traveling, or you’re just sitting in a hotel room, or you’re talking to your wife, or your kids, or whatever it is, who are a long way away, so there are certain sacrifices involved. So it’s all about playing.
